Uk'jola, ho jola
In this post, I want to briefly engage the 'ukujola' issue. Growing up in the Free State church circles, 'ukujola' was strickly forbidden. It was dubbed 'sin'. 'Ukujola' was the primary reason in disciplinary action against the youth. It elicited loudest 'amens' from adults should a preacher aim their guns at the youth particularly where ukujola was concerned. Naturally, the youth would be as quiet as a grave. Why the silence from the youth? It was believed by the young that ukujola was ill defined. To the young, ukujola couldn't be sin. The basic meaning the youth attached to the word referred to love relations. Thus it appeared rather going overboard to suggest that love relationships are sin.

Piece of advise for those contemplating marriage
The thought of getting married evokes different feelings in different people. To some, it's terrifying. To others, it's exciting. Marriage is not for the faint-hearted. It's not for the egotistical. The success a couple stand to make largely depends on willingness in each one to account, to express sorrow, to forgive, to understand, to respect, to help and seek help.
